Article R6153-7 of the French Public Health Code

Before taking up their duties, interns must provide proof, in the form of a certificate issued by a hospital doctor, that they are physically and mentally fit to carry out the hospital duties for which they are applying.

They must also certify that they meet the conditions for immunisation against certain diseases set by order of the Minister of Health.

Interns come under the responsibility of the occupational health department of the entity where they do their training. Failing this, they will report to the occupational health department of the university hospital centre to which they are assigned.

Article R6153-7
