As from their enrolment in the first year of the second cycle, the odontology hospital students mentioned in article R. 6153-63 receive remuneration, the annual amount of which is set by order of the ministers responsible for the budget, higher education and health, and revalued in line with changes in civil service salaries by order of the minister responsible for health.
This remuneration is paid on a monthly basis after service has been rendered, regardless of the structure to which the student is assigned, with the exception of the period of study abroad provided for in article R. 6153-64.
Repeat or triple students receive the remuneration provided for in this section for any period of training completed, with the exception of the period of study abroad provided for in article R. 6153-64.
The students mentioned in the previous paragraphs are entitled to :
1° Annual leave of thirty working days, during which they will receive the remuneration provided for in the first paragraph of this article;
2° In the event of a duly recorded illness or infirmity making it impossible for them to carry out their duties, a maximum of one month’s leave during which they receive their full remuneration and one month during which they receive half their remuneration.
In all cases, they retain their full entitlement to family allowances;
3° Maternity leave, birth leave, leave for the arrival of a child placed with a view to adoption, adoption leave or paternity and childcare leave for the periods and in accordance with the procedures laid down in article R. 6152-819, during which the full remuneration provided for in the first paragraph of this article is paid.
Cash benefits due to the persons concerned under the social security system are deducted from the remuneration or half-remuneration paid during sick leave, maternity leave, adoption leave or paternity leave;
4° In addition, students, during their second cycle, may, at their request and with the agreement of the training and research unit and the director of the university hospital centre to which they are attached, benefit from an additional period of unpaid leave of thirty working days.
