Article R621-18 of the French Monetary and Financial Code

The accounting officer shall proceed with the proceedings. Proceedings may be suspended at any time by written order of the President if the debt is the subject of a dispute. The Chairman shall also suspend proceedings if, in agreement with the accounting officer, he considers that the debt is irrecoverable or that the granting of a delay by the accounting officer is in the interests of the Autorité des marchés financiers.

L’agent comptable procède aux poursuites. Celles-ci peuvent, à tout moment, être suspendues sur ordre écrit du président si la créance est l’objet d’un litige. Le président suspend également les poursuites si, en accord avec l’agent comptable, il estime que la créance est irrécouvrable ou que l’octroi d’un délai par l’agent comptable est conforme à l’intérêt de l’Autorité des marchés financiers.
