The chairman of the Enforcement Committee is elected by a majority of the members, under the chairmanship of the oldest member, for the duration of his or her term of office as a member of the Enforcement Committee.
When half the members of the Enforcement Committee are re-elected, the term of office is counted from the first meeting following the appointment of the new members.
A member of the AMF staff acts as secretary to the meeting and draws up minutes of the proceedings. The minutes are signed by each member of the Enforcement Committee and by the Director General of the Treasury or his representative. They are forwarded to the Minister for Economic Affairs and to the Chairman of the Autorité des marchés financiers.
