Article R6221-4 of the French Public Health Code

The French Accreditation Committee shall notify the laboratory of the accreditation decision no later than twenty weeks after the actual opening of the laboratory. Within the same time limit, the French Accreditation Committee shall send this accreditation decision to the bodies mentioned in Article L. 6221-6.

If the French Accreditation Committee does not respond within twenty weeks of the actual opening of the laboratory, the application for accreditation is deemed to have been rejected.

Le Comité français d’accréditation notifie au laboratoire la décision d’accréditation au plus tard vingt semaines après l’ouverture effective du laboratoire. Le Comité français d’accréditation transmet, dans le même délai, cette décision d’accréditation aux organismes mentionnés à l’article L. 6221-6.

Le silence gardé par le Comité français d’accréditation pendant le délai de vingt semaines à compter de l’ouverture effective du laboratoire vaut rejet de la demande d’accréditation.
