Article R6222-24 of the French Labour Code

The exemption from the ban on night work for apprentices, provided for in article L. 6222-26, is granted by the Labour Inspector for a maximum period of one year, renewable. The Labour Inspector will assess the particular characteristics of the activity referred to in article R. 3163-1 that justify this derogation.
If there is no response within one month of the application being submitted, this will be deemed to be a decision to accept.

La dérogation à l’interdiction du travail de nuit des apprentis, prévue à l’article L. 6222-26, est accordée par l’inspecteur du travail pour une durée maximale d’une année, renouvelable. Celui-ci apprécie les caractéristiques particulières de l’activité mentionnée à l’article R. 3163-1 justifiant cette dérogation.
L’absence de réponse dans le délai d’un mois à compter du dépôt de la demande vaut décision d’acceptation.
