Article R711-72 of the French Commercial code

The election of the officers takes place in the first and second rounds by an absolute majority of the members in office. In the third round, a relative majority is sufficient. In the event of a tie, the oldest candidate is elected. Voting by proxy is permitted but each member may only hold one proxy.

L’élection du bureau a lieu au premier et au deuxième tour à la majorité absolue des membres en exercice. Au troisième tour, la majorité relative suffit. En cas de partage égal des voix, le candidat le plus âgé est élu. Le vote par procuration est admis mais chaque membre ne peut disposer que d’une procuration.
