Article R7124-29 of the French Labour Code

During school periods, the employment of a child aged between six and sixteen in a modelling activity and the preliminary selection with a view to carrying out this activity may only be authorised on weekly rest days or half-days other than Sundays, and for the following durations:
1 Maximum daily duration:
a) Three hours, including no more than one and a half hours continuously, from six to eleven years of age;
b) Four hours, including no more than two hours continuously, from twelve to sixteen years of age.
This daily duration is reduced by half for the employment and selection of the child for half a day.
2 Maximum weekly duration:
a) Four and a half hours, from six to eleven years of age;
b) Six hours, from twelve to sixteen years of age.

Durant les périodes scolaires, l’emploi d’un enfant âgé de six à seize ans exerçant une activité de mannequin et la sélection préalable en vue d’exercer cette activité ne peuvent être autorisés que les jours ou demi-journées de repos hebdomadaire autres que le dimanche, et selon les durées suivantes :
1 Durée journalière maximum :
a) Trois heures, dont pas plus d’une heure et demie en continu, de six à onze ans ;
b) Quatre heures, dont pas plus de deux heures en continu, de douze à seize ans.
Cette durée journalière est réduite de moitié pour l’emploi et la sélection de l’enfant pendant une demi-journée.
2 Durée hebdomadaire maximum :
a) Quatre heures et demie, de six à onze ans ;
b) Six heures, de douze à seize ans.
