Article R7124-7 of the French General Code of Local Authorities

The members of the Economic, Social, Environmental, Cultural and Education Council are appointed for six years.

In accordance with the procedure laid down in Article R. 7124-5, a vacancy shall be filled within two months of the date on which it is established by the representative of the State in French Guyana, under the conditions specified by the rules of procedure provided for in Article R. 7124-22.

Any person appointed to replace a member of the Board shall hold office until the expiry of the term of office of the person they are replacing.

The term of office of members of the Economic, Social, Environmental, Cultural and Education Council is renewable.

Article R7124-7

Les membres du conseil économique, social, environnemental, de la culture et de l’éducation sont désignés pour six ans.

Il est pourvu, conformément à la procédure fixée à l’article R. 7124-5, à la vacance des sièges, dans un délai de deux mois à dater de la constatation de celle-ci par le représentant de l’Etat en Guyane, dans les conditions précisées par le règlement intérieur prévu à l’article R. 7124-22.

Toute personne désignée pour remplacer un membre du conseil exerce son mandat jusqu’à expiration du mandat de la personne qu’elle remplace.

Le mandat des membres du conseil économique, social, environnemental, de la culture et de l’éducation est renouvelable.
