Article R7124-9 of the French Labour Code

The medical examination prior to the child’s employment is carried out by a paediatrician or a general practitioner, in accordance with the procedures laid down by the order referred to in article R. 7124-7.
It shows whether, taking into account the child’s age and state of health, the child is capable of performing a mannequin activity without compromising his or her health or development.
This examination is repeated every three months for children aged under three, every six months for those aged between three and six and every year for those aged over six.
If the doctor’s opinion is negative, the child may not be employed.

Article R7124-9

L’examen médical préalable à l’emploi de l’enfant est réalisé par un pédiatre ou par un médecin généraliste, selon les modalités prévues par l’arrêté mentionné à l’article R. 7124-7.
Il fait apparaître si, compte tenu de l’âge et de l’état de santé de l’enfant, celui-ci est en mesure d’assurer une activité de mannequin sans compromettre sa santé ou son développement.
Cet examen est renouvelé tous les trois mois pour les enfants âgés de moins de trois ans, tous les six mois pour ceux âgés de trois à six ans et tous les ans pour ceux âgés de plus de six ans.
En cas d’avis négatif du médecin, l’enfant ne peut être employé.
