Article R721-21 of the French Commercial code

The College of Ethics is made up of a magistrate from the judiciary and two commercial court judges.

The magistrate is appointed by an order of the Minister of Justice.

The commercial court judges are elected by the general meeting of the National Council of Commercial Courts from among its members. The president of the college is appointed by the general meeting of the national council.

The term of office for members of the professional ethics college is two years, renewable once.

Le collège de déontologie est composé d’un magistrat de l’ordre judiciaire et de deux juges des tribunaux de commerce.


Le magistrat est nommé par un arrêté du garde des sceaux, ministre de la justice.

Les juges des tribunaux de commerce sont élus par l’assemblée générale du Conseil national des tribunaux de commerce parmi ses membres. Le président du collège est nommé par l’assemblée générale du conseil national.

La durée du mandat des membres du collège de déontologie est de deux ans renouvelable une fois.
