The court clerk assists the judges of the commercial court at hearings and in all cases provided for by law.
He assists the president of the commercial court in all administrative tasks specific to him. He provides his secretarial services.
He assists him in drawing up and applying the court’s rules of procedure, in organising court dockets and allocating judges, in preparing the budget and managing the appropriations allocated to the court. He files the president’s archives.
In the commercial courts, the list of which is fixed by order of the Minister of Justice, the court clerk, in agreement with the president, permanently assigns one or more court clerks to the tasks provided for in the second and third paragraphs of this article. Their number, in each court, shall be fixed by the same order.
The registrar or registrars thus designated shall be placed under the sole functional authority of the president; they shall be subject to the rules applicable to registry staff.
