The prefect who has placed the foreign national in detention exercises the powers relating to the removal decision, which he enforces until the end of the procedure initiated, regardless of where the foreign national in question is held in detention.

Le préfet ayant procédé au placement en rétention de l’étranger exerce les compétences relatives à la décision d’éloignement qu’il met à exécution jusqu’au terme de la procédure engagée quel que soit le lieu où l’étranger en cause est maintenu en rétention.
