The continuing training provided for by Article L. 743-15 ensures that the commercial court clerks update and perfect the knowledge required to practise their profession.
The duration of continuing training is twenty hours over the course of a calendar year or forty hours over the course of two consecutive years.
The continuing training obligation is satisfied:
1° Through participation in legal or professional training courses provided by the Conseil national des greffiers des tribunaux de commerce or by university establishments;
2° Through participation in training courses, authorised by the Conseil national des greffiers des tribunaux de commerce, provided by commercial court clerks or educational establishments ;
3° By attending legal symposia or conferences related to the professional activity of commercial court clerks;
4° By teaching legal courses related to the professional activity of commercial court clerks, in a university or professional context;
5° By publishing legal works.
During the first two years of professional practice, this training includes at least ten hours on the management of an office, professional ethics and professional status. However, during this same period, the persons mentioned in article R. 742-3 devote their entire training obligation to these subjects.
The decisions determining the methods of implementation of the provisions of this article by the Conseil national des greffiers des tribunaux de commerce shall be notified to the Minister of Justice within thirty days.
