Article R742-9 of the French Labour Code

A regional conciliation committee shall be set up at the head office of each maritime affairs directorate, whose territorial jurisdiction shall extend to the whole of the district of the said directorate.

Subject to the provisions of article R. 742-8, the regional committee has jurisdiction over all collective labour disputes arising within its area.

Il est institué au siège de chaque direction des affaires maritimes une commission régionale de conciliation dont la compétence territoriale s’étend à toute la circonscription de ladite direction.

La commission régionale est compétente sous-réserve des dispositions de l’article R. 742-8 pour connaître de tous les conflits collectifs de travail survenant dans sa circonscription.
