Article R744-1 of the French Code governing the entry and residence of foreign nationals and the right of asylum

Subject to the provisions of article R. 744-8, foreign nationals detained pursuant to this title shall be placed or kept in establishments known as “administrative detention centres”, governed by this sub-section.
