Article R8211-7 of the French Labour Code

The responsible authority will indicate on these pages that the convicted person may exercise his/her right to access and rectify information concerning him/her with the Minister for Employment (Directorate General for Employment), pursuant to articles 39 and 40 of law no. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms, and that he/she does not have the right of opposition provided for in article 38 of the said law during the period in which he/she is serving the sentence.

L’autorité responsable indique sur ces pages la possibilité pour la personne condamnée d’exercer ses droits d’accès et de rectification des informations la concernant auprès du ministre chargé du travail (direction générale du travail), en application des articles 39 et 40 de la loi n° 78-17 du 6 janvier 1978 relative à l’informatique, aux fichiers et aux libertés, et qu’elle ne dispose pas du droit d’opposition prévu à l’article 38 de ladite loi pendant la durée d’exécution de la peine.
