Chapter I: Organisation of the Criminal Records Department

The automated national criminal records department is headed by a magistrate from the central administration of the Ministry of Justice under the control and authority of the director of criminal affairs and pardons.

The magistrate in charge of the automated national criminal record service shall designate by name the persons authorised to process information intended for the criminal record and those who may have access to the said information.

The director of the national institute of statistics and economic studies shall communicate to the automated national criminal records department the surnames, forenames, dates and places of birth and sex of persons over the age of twelve who appear in the national identification register, as well as any changes to which these data may have been subject.
