Chapter VI: Issuance of Bulletin No. 3 of the Criminal Record

The bulletin no. 3 may only be requested from the automated national criminal records department by the person concerned, or their legal representative in the case of a minor or an adult under guardianship. The identity check provided for by Article R. 77 must be carried out before the bulletin no. 3 is issued to persons born in France. If the result of this examination proves negative, the automated national criminal records department will only issue bulletin no. 3 on the basis of a birth certificate.

When there is no record in the criminal record or when the information contained in the records does not need to be entered on bulletin no. 3, the latter is cancelled by a crossbar.
