Article 735 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

Where the trial court has not ruled on the revocation of the suspended sentence pursuant to Article 132-36 of the Penal Code because it was unaware of the first conviction, the public prosecutor may subsequently submit a reasoned application to the criminal court for its revocation. The court will rule in open court, after hearing the person and, if applicable, their lawyer.

Article 735-1 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

In the event of a prison sentence handed down by the criminal court of a Member State of the European Union, the revocation of the suspended sentence may only be ordered by the criminal court ruling at the request of the public prosecutor, in accordance with the procedure set out in article 735.

Article 736 of the French Code of Criminal Procedure

The suspension of sentence does not extend to the payment of damages. Nor does it extend to the incapacities, prohibitions and disqualifications resulting from the conviction.
