The authorisation of the press publisher or press agency is required before any reproduction or communication to the public of all or part of its press publications in digital form by an online public communication service.

The rights of press publishers and press agencies resulting from Article L. 218-2 may be assigned or licensed. These rightholders may entrust the management of their rights to one or more collective management organisations governed by Title II of Book III of this Part.

The remuneration due in respect of related rights for the reproduction and communication to the public of press publications in digital form is based on the revenues from exploitation of any kind, direct or indirect or, failing that, assessed on a flat-rate basis, in particular in the cases provided for in Article L. 131-4.
