Chapter I: Entry on the list of persons qualified in industrial property matters

The application for registration shall be submitted to the Director General of the National Institute of Industrial Property. The decision of the director general of the institute ruling on the application for registration where applicable, after a decision by the jury in accordance with articles R. 421-5 and R. 421-1-2 is notified to the interested party. Reasons must be given for any refusal.

Failing an express decision within the period mentioned in article R. 421-10-1, the application is deemed to have been accepted.

A person included on the list may request to be removed from it at any time. Any person falling under one of the measures mentioned in Article R. 421-2. Reasons are given for cancellation and a decision is made after the interested party has been given the opportunity to present his observations.

Registrations and deletions are published in the Bulletin officiel de la propriété industrielle. The updated list of qualified persons is published at the beginning of each calendar year in the bulletin.
