Section 3: Appeals

If an appeal is lodged against the decision giving rise to the dispatch of the statement of conviction in accordance with the provisions of Article R. 55-5, the chief clerk shall give notice thereof to the accounting officer of the Directorate General of Public Finance and of the cancellation of the corresponding statement. This notice is given no later than the second working day following the registration of the appeal.

If, following the exercise of a right of appeal, the person who has voluntarily paid the fine applies for restitution of the sums paid in accordance with the provisions of the third paragraph of article 707-2, this application must be lodged with the accounting officer of the Directorate General of Public Finances responsible for recovering the fine.
