Section 1: Costs of transporting persons, proceedings and exhibits

Transport by rail must, unless there are exceptional circumstances, be in a 2nd class reserved compartment.

The requisition, either to the railway company or to the valet, must be drawn up in two copies, one of which is given to the clerk responsible for settling the costs of the proceedings and the other to the railway company or to the valet, for them to produce in support of their brief.

When the transfer or extraction is carried out using national police or national gendarmerie vehicles, a mileage allowance, set each year by joint order of the Minister of Justice and the Minister responsible for the budget, is awarded in respect of each vehicle used and the outward and return journeys made.
