Section 4: The Governor and Deputy Governors.

The Governor receives remuneration from the Banque de France equivalent to that of the Vice-President of the Conseil d’Etat; the two Deputy Governors receive remuneration equivalent to that of the President of a Section of the Conseil d’Etat. The accommodation expenses of the Governor and Deputy Governors are paid by the Banque de France. They may also receive an expense allowance.

The Governor may delegate his powers to the General Managers, Department Managers and Branch Managers, for the purpose of ensuring, in the departments or services under their authority, compliance with the legal, regulatory or contractual provisions applicable to health and safety, working hours, staff representation, environmental protection and the awarding of contracts.
