Chapter I: National Order.

The national associations of doctors, dental surgeons and midwives must include all doctors, dental surgeons and midwives entitled to practise, with the exception of doctors, dental surgeons and midwives covered by the provisions of article L. 4138-2 of the Defence Code.

The Association of Physicians, the Association of Dental Surgeons and the Association of Midwives shall ensure that the principles of morality, probity, competence and devotion essential to the practice of medicine, dentistry or the profession of midwife are upheld and that all their members observe their professional duties and the rules laid down in the Code of Ethics provided for in article L. 4127-1.
