Decisions of the National Disciplinary Board are rendered in collegial formation, subject to exceptions, specified by decree in the Conseil d’Etat, relating to the subject of the referral or dispute or the nature of the issues to be examined or judged. They may be rendered in a restricted formation.

A pharmacist may, on application to the national council, be relieved by it after a period of five years of the incapacity resulting from a conviction which has led to permanent removal from the roll.

When the various councils rule on disciplinary matters, the State representatives mentioned in articles L. 4231-4 and L. 4232-6 to L. 4232-15 do not sit on these bodies.
