Article L7212-1 of the French Labour Code

An employee whose employment contract is terminated at the employer’s initiative may not be forced to leave his accommodation before a minimum period determined by decree of the Conseil d’Etat or without payment of compensation. The amount of this compensation is equal to the price of the quarterly rental of accommodation equivalent to that occupied by the employee and the benefits in kind that the employee receives.
