Chapter IV: Institutional medical conference

I. – The establishment’s medical conference is consulted on the following matters: 1° The establishment’s medical policy, in particular the medical project and the elements of the multi-year contract of objectives and resources relating thereto; 2° Any contract or amendment providing for the exercise by the establishment of one or more public service missions; 3° The establishment’s internal regulations; 4° The establishment’s annual activity forecasts.

The health care organisation’s medical conference is kept informed of the following matters: 1° Analysis reports on undesirable events, in particular those mentioned in article L. 6161-2, which have occurred in the health care organisation; 2° The planning of works, the refurbishment of premises or the acquisition of equipment likely to have an impact on the quality and safety of care.

The establishment’s medical conference contributes to drawing up the policy for continuous improvement in the quality and safety of care, particularly with regard to : 1° Comprehensive and coordinated risk management aimed at combating healthcare-associated infections and preventing and dealing with iatrogenia and other undesirable events linked to the establishment’s activities; 2° Vigilance measures designed to guarantee health safety; 3° Medicines and sterile medical devices policy; 4° Pain management; 5°…
