Section 2: Resignations

Resignations by members of the town council are addressed to the mayor. The resignation is final as soon as it is received by the mayor, who immediately informs the State representative in the department.

Any member of a town council who, without a valid excuse, has refused to carry out one of the duties devolved upon him by the laws, shall be declared to have resigned by the administrative court.
