Every three years, before 1 June, the Government submits to Parliament a report on the a posteriori control exercised over the acts of the communes by the representatives of the State in the départements.

If a citizen believes that he or she has been personally harmed by an act of a municipal authority, he or she may apply to the administrative court to have the act annulled.
