Article L4135-26 of the French General Code of Local Authorities
The regions are liable, under the conditions set out in article L. 2123-31, accidents suffered by members of regional councils in the course of their duties.

The regions are liable, under the conditions set out in article L. 2123-31, accidents suffered by members of regional councils in the course of their duties.
When the local elected representatives referred to in article L. 4135-26 are victims of an accident occurring in the course of their duties, the public authorities concerned shall pay directly to the practitioners, pharmacists, medical auxiliaries, suppliers and establishments the amount of the benefits relating to this accident calculated according to the rates applied in the field of health insurance.
