Section 2: Departmental councils

I. – The Departmental or Inter-Departmental Council of the College of Nurses, under the supervision of the National Council, carries out the duties defined in article L. 4312-2 at departmental level. The departmental or interdepartmental councils of the order of nurses hold meetings with the departmental or interdepartmental councils of the other professional orders to examine issues common to the professions concerned.

An interdepartmental council of nurses for La Réunion-Mayotte is responsible for nurses on La Réunion and for nurses on Mayotte.

I.-A territorial council of the order of nurses is constituted in Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon when the number of nurses practising there is at least equal to twice the minimum number provided for the departmental councils of the order of nurses. The nurses of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon are represented on the Conseil national de l’ordre des infirmiers by the national councillors representing the Hauts-de-France-Normandie sector.

An interdepartmental Antilles-Guyane council is responsible for nurses practising in French Guyana, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy.

Nurses whose professional residence is in Saint-Martin and Saint-Barthélemy are registered on the roll of the Antilles-Guyane interdepartmental council of nurses.
