The employer provides practical training for the apprentice in the company. In particular, the employer assigns the apprentice to tasks or positions enabling him to carry out operations or work in line with an annual progression defined by agreement between the apprentice training centre and the representatives of the companies registering apprentices with the centre.

The employer undertakes to ensure that the apprentice follows the training provided by the centre and to take part in activities designed to coordinate this training with the in-company training. The employer must ensure that the apprentice registers for and takes part in the examinations for the diploma or certificate certifying the vocational qualification covered by the contract.
