Section 1: Occupational health inspector.

Occupational health inspectors take ongoing action to protect the physical and mental health of workers in the workplace and participate in health monitoring for the benefit of workers. The provisions of this code relating to the powers and obligations of the labour inspectors mentioned in article L. 8112-1 are extended to medical labour inspectors with the exception of the provisions of article L. 8113-7, relating to official reports, article L. 4721-4, relating to formal notices and articles L. 8115-1 to L. 8115-7, relating to administrative sanctions.

With a view to preventing occupational illnesses, medical labour inspectors are authorised to take samples for analysis purposes, particularly of the materials and products used.
