Section 2: Establishments and organisations authorised to combat tuberculosis

The Director General of the Regional Health Agency may authorise tuberculosis centres corresponding to one of the following categories, in application of article L. 3112-2: 1° Health establishments carrying out one or more of the public service missions defined in article L. 6112-1; 2° Health centres mentioned in article L. 6323-1; 3° Services or organisations under the authority of a département and responsible for preventive health care.

I.-The tuberculosis centres carry out the tasks mentioned in article L. 3112-2 in accordance with the recommendations in force. To this end, they : 1° Carry out investigations into cases of tuberculosis and ensure follow-up; 2° Carry out targeted screening for tuberculosis in at-risk populations; 3° Contribute to the medical and medico-social follow-up of people being treated for tuberculosis or latent tuberculosis infection and participate in their coordination until the…

If the Director General of the Regional Health Agency does not respond to an application for authorisation or an application for renewal of authorisation, as referred to in I and III of Article D. 3112-8 respectively, this will be deemed to constitute acceptance of the application on expiry of a period of four months from the date of receipt of the complete application.

The Regional Health Agency is responsible for the strategic planning, coordination, monitoring and analysis of the activities of approved centres. The tuberculosis centres approved under the conditions of article D. 3112-8 must submit an activity and performance report for the previous year to the Director General of the Regional Health Agency before 31st March each year, in accordance with a model laid down by order of the Minister for Health.

The anti-tuberculosis centre shall inform the Director General of the Regional Health Agency of any changes to the organisational and operational procedures set out in the application for authorisation. Each year, the Director General of the Regional Health Agency sends the Minister for Health and the State representative in the département an updated list of the tuberculosis centres approved in application of this section.
