Section 2: Protection of minors.

I.- The following offences are punishable by a fine of the second class for a drinks outlet: 1° Failing to place the sign provided for in article L. 3342-4 in the place indicated; 2° Affixing posters of a model other than that defined in the same article. II – The same penalty applies to the destruction, tearing up or alteration of the sign mentioned in 1° of I.

If a public housekeeper admits minors under the age of sixteen to his establishment unaccompanied by their father, mother, guardian or any person over the age of eighteen who is responsible for or supervises them, he will be liable to a 4th class fine.

In the cases provided for in this section, the accused may prove that he was misled as to the age of the minor or the status or age of the person accompanying him. If he proves this, no penalty shall apply.
