Section 6: Provisions applicable to refugees, stateless persons and beneficiaries of territorial asylum or subsidiary protection and to French nationals who have returned to French territory at the request of the French authorities

Persons who are refugees, stateless persons or beneficiaries of territorial asylum or subsidiary protection, and French nationals who have returned to France at the request of the French authorities, and who hold a diploma, certificate or other evidence of entitlement, in the country in which it was obtained, to practise the profession of doctor, dental surgeon or midwife, who sit the knowledge verification tests mentioned in I of article L….

Successful candidates from the knowledge verification tests complete a full-time skills consolidation programme lasting two years for candidates to the profession of doctor and one year for candidates to the profession of dental surgeon and midwife. Applicants authorised to pursue a skills consolidation programme may obtain a deferral of their assignment under the conditions defined in article R. 4111-7.

At the end of their skills consolidation programme, candidates apply to the commission for authorisation to practise mentioned in I of article L. 4111-2 under the conditions set out in article R. 4111-12.

Articles D. 4111-8 and R. 4111-11 apply to applications for authorisation to practise made under this section.
