Section 9: Medicinal products and medical devices which midwives may prescribe

Midwives may prescribe for women, children and women’s male partners and may obtain for their professional use the medicinal products listed by therapeutic class in tables I, II and III of appendix 41-4. Midwives may prescribe to their patients and obtain for their professional use the medicinal products classified as narcotics listed in table IV of appendix 41-4.

Midwives may prescribe the medicinal products listed in table V of appendix 41-4 to persons who regularly live with the child or pregnant woman.

Midwives may prescribe the medical devices listed in table VI of appendix 41-4.
