Article R4211-24 of the French Public Health Code

Producers contribute to or provide for the collection of unused medicines and, where applicable, their packaging, under the conditions set out in I of article L. 541-10 of the Environmental Code. They carry out the following operations: 1° Providing pharmacies with receptacles free of charge; 2° Collecting, grouping, sorting and transporting unused medicines and, where applicable, their packaging from pharmacies to their destination; 3° Destruction of unused medicines.

Article R4211-28 of the French Public Health Code

The quantity of packaging managed by producers or their eco-organisation as part of the system provided for in article R. 4211-24 is deducted from the quantity for which they pay a contribution in application of 1° of article L. 541-10-1 of the Environment Code.
