Section 3: Centre hospitalier national d'ophtalmologie des Quinze-Vingts (Quinze-Vingts national ophthalmology hospital)

The Centre hospitalier national d’ophtalmologie des Quinze-Vingts (Quinze-Vingts national ophthalmology hospital) is a national public health establishment which contributes to ensuring, in the field of ophthalmology, the missions defined in articles L. 6111-1 and L. 6112-1, in particular the missions of university teaching and research as well as medical care and rehabilitation for the blind and partially sighted. It also runs an accommodation service for the blind and partially sighted.

The provisions of chapter II of title I of this book and those of chapters I to VI of this title are applicable to the Centre hospitalier national d’ophtalmologie des Quinze-Vingts subject to the provisions of this section.

Notwithstanding the provisions of 3° of article R. 6143-3, the college of qualified personalities on the Supervisory Board of the Quinze-Vingts National Ophthalmology Hospital comprises five members appointed as follows: 1° A member of the National Assembly and a member of the Senate appointed by the social affairs committee of their respective assemblies; 2° A Conseiller d’Etat or a Conseiller Maître at the Cour des Comptes appointed by the Director…

The term of office of the members appointed by the National Assembly and the Senate to sit on the Supervisory Board of the Quinze-Vingts National Ophthalmology Hospital expires when these assemblies are renewed. However, they shall continue to sit on the supervisory board of this establishment until their replacements are appointed.

The powers of the Director General of the Regional Health Agency are exercised in respect of the Quinze-Vingts National Ophthalmology Hospital by the Director General of the Ile-de-France Regional Health Agency.
