Section 3a: Emergency care procedures within the remit of the fire service

Only fire fighters who have completed training under the conditions defined by an order of the Minister for Health and the Minister for the Interior are authorised to perform the procedures mentioned in articles R. 6311-18 and R. 6311-18-1.

The provisions of this section apply to the military units of the Paris fire brigade and the Marseille marine fire brigade.

For the purposes of this section, the term “médecin régulateur” (medical regulator) refers to the doctor responsible for the telephone regulation service provided for in 1° of article R. 6123-1 or the doctor responsible for the medical coordination of the Paris fire brigade in his area of responsibility.
