A managed bathing area comprises a portion of land adjacent to bathing water on which facilities have been built to encourage bathing.
The composition of the supporting documents accompanying the declaration, mentioned in article L. 1332-1, of a person who is developing a public or private bathing facility for collective use, is set by an order of the ministers for health and the environment and the minister for the interior.
The bathing facilities include a first-aid post located in the immediate vicinity of the beaches.
Toilets, the location of which is indicated, are installed near the bathing facilities; there are at least two of them. The sanitation of the facilities is carried out in such a way as to avoid any risk of pollution of the bathing water.
