Paragraph 1: General provisions.

The powers relating to the supervision of the trade and companies register and related disputes, provided for in Article L. 123-6, are exercised, for legal entities that are not merchants within the meaning of 2° and 5° of I of Article L. 123-1, by the president of the judicial court or a judge appointed for this purpose.

The register of commerce and companies comprises: 1° An alphabetical file of registered persons; 2° The individual file consisting of the application for registration, supplemented, where applicable, by subsequent entries; 3° An annexed file containing the deeds and documents that must be filed with the register of commerce and companies, pursuant to this code and any other legislative or regulatory provisions.

Any entry in the Trade and Companies Register concerning the commencement or cessation of business, changes to the situation or striking off of a natural person or legal entity is made by the Registrar on a declaration received from the declarant via the single body mentioned in Article R. 123-1.
