The travel and subsistence expenses of elected municipal representatives are paid by the municipality under the conditions defined by the decree setting the conditions and procedures for payment of expenses incurred by the temporary travel of civil servants of the State.

To benefit from the coverage provided for in article L. 2123-14, the elected representative must prove to the municipality concerned that he or she has suffered a reduction in income as a result of exercising his or her right to training.
