Subsection 3: Residence conditions.

In-patients must ensure that the premises and objects at their disposal are kept in good condition. Deliberate damage may, without prejudice to compensation for the damage caused, result in the patient being discharged under the conditions provided for in article R. 1112-49.

No sum of money may be paid to staff by patients, either as a gratuity or as a deposit.

Everyone is required to observe strict personal hygiene within the health care establishment.

The postmaster is available to hospital patients for all postal operations.

In-patients using the telephone pay the corresponding charges. They may receive telephone calls as long as these do not interfere with the running of the services.

Television sets may only be brought into the hospital with the authorisation of the Director. Under no circumstances may radio, television or other sound equipment disturb the rest of patients or their neighbours.
