Subsection 5: Blood transfusion establishments

The Etablissement Français du Sang is organised into blood transfusion establishments throughout France. Blood transfusion establishments are unincorporated local establishments of the Etablissement Français du Sang.

The directors of blood transfusion establishments are appointed by the President of the Etablissement Français du Sang for a renewable term of four years. The appointment document specifies, where applicable, the nature and extent of the delegation granted under the last paragraph of article R. 1222-8 by the President of the Etablissement Français du Sang for the management of the blood establishment concerned.
