Subsection 5: Miscellaneous provisions.

All doctors, when they are entered on the roll, must affirm before the Conseil Départemental de l’Ordre that they are aware of this Code of Deontology and undertake under oath and in writing to comply with it.

Any deliberately inaccurate or incomplete declaration made to the Medical Council by a doctor may give rise to disciplinary proceedings.

Any doctor who changes his or her conditions of practice or ceases to practise must notify the departmental council. The latter takes note of these changes and informs the national council.

Reasons must be given for all decisions taken by the Ordre des Médecins in application of this Code of Deontology. Any such decisions taken by the departmental councils may be amended or annulled by the national council either on its own initiative or at the request of the interested parties, which must be submitted within two months of notification of the decision.
