Subsection 1: General duties of dental surgeons.

Dentists must treat all their patients with the same conscience, regardless of their origin, morals and family situation, their membership or non-membership of a particular ethnic group, nation or religion, their disability or state of health, their reputation or any feelings they may have towards them.

Dentists must not abandon their patients in the event of public danger, unless formally ordered to do so in writing by the competent authorities.

It is forbidden to draw up a biased report or issue a certificate of convenience.

Dental surgeons have a duty to maintain and improve their knowledge, in particular by participating in continuing education activities.

The profession of dental surgeon should not be practised like a business.

I. – Dental surgeons are free to communicate to the public, by any means, including on an Internet site, information likely to contribute to the patient’s free choice of practitioner, relating in particular to his professional skills and practices, his career path and the conditions of his practice.
