Subsection 4: Other narcotic substances and preparations

The production, manufacture, transport, import, export, possession, offer, transfer, acquisition or use of substances or preparations, plants or parts of plants listed in the schedules of the Single Convention on Narcotic Drugs of 30 March 1961 or the Convention on Psychotropic Substances of 21 February 1971, as well as products containing such substances or preparations, plants or parts of plants may be prohibited, on a proposal from the Director General…

The production, manufacture, transport, import, export, possession, offer, transfer, acquisition or use of khat and preparations containing or made from khat are prohibited. Exemptions to the above provisions may be granted by the Director General of the Agence nationale de sécurité du médicament et des produits de santé for research and control purposes.

I.-The production, including cultivation, manufacture, transport, import, export, possession, offer, transfer, acquisition and use of the following are prohibited: 1° Cannabis, its plant and resin, products containing them or those obtained from cannabis, its plant or resin; 2° Natural or synthetic tetrahydrocannabinols, their esters, ethers and salts, as well as salts of the aforementioned derivatives and products containing them. The cultivation, import, export and use, for industrial and commercial purposes, of varieties of Cannabis sativa L. without narcotic properties or products containing such varieties are authorised by order of the ministers responsible for agriculture, customs, industry and health.
